The Process

Windshield repair or replace?  If the windshield is cracked from side to side, then it is a replacement.  If the windshield is damaged by a rock (rock chip) and is larger than a Quarter, then it is usually a replacement not a repair.  If its less than a Quarter piece, call  210-792-0014.   Cost varies on size of vehicle and how many  we repair.  Sedan $70      SUV/Pickup Truck $90      Each extra repair $40

Providing us with the VIN is very important in getting the process started.  There are usually between 5 to 10 options on picking the correct glass for a vehicle using year, make and model.  The VIN is  the key to identifying the correct windshield .  Your insurance card has the VIN on it and the VIN is also located on the left side on the dash or possible the driver door or opening.  If that is not readily available, provide the license plate number and state.

Insurance Claim or Out of Pocket??   We are here to help you get the best service at the best price.  SO,  here is the thought process to answer that question.   If you have a low deductible less than $100, then you might want to consider using your insurance company and let them take care of the expense.  If you have a high deductible $500 or more, then you might want to consider paying out of pocket.   The  way to determine which is best for you is to get a quote from Magic Auto Glass and compare the two.  A lot of the time our cost is below what your deductible amount is.
